Financial Literacy

This term we will be learning how to save money and how to use money wisely. We will establish a class currency and will learn how to budget our finances. We have spent a number of lessons so far learning about our New Zealand currency, the special features on our dollar notes and the Reserve Bank.We have tagged a variety of websites on our Delicious Bookmarking accounts under the tag financial. We will work through the tutorials on Banking For Our Future and learn a variety of ways to make the right financial choices. The class went onto a website called career services and found out information about what career they wanted to be and wrote the information and job down on a piece of scrap paper and put it in a little box and then Mrs Pearson mixed them up and we closed our eyes and picked one out and that is now our career in the classroom. It is a very good way to learn about finances.

Maths Week

On the 8th of August we had maths week. We have have maths week for a week. My Science Fair

The school science fair projects were all due in today. The one that stood out was Liam's project because it had lots if ideas and it was set out very good. I thought that my project needed to have a bit more information and facts. All the science fairs were good but only four from each class room can go through to the school science fair competition. Our science fair projects were meant to be about resources, which are all about things that are running out in our world such as our water, our water is getting polluted from all the littering that's happening and more.

My Speech: How mobile phones have helped us

Has your mum ever left her shopping
list at home while in the
Middle of shopping.
Well if she had a mobile phone
it would make her life
much more simple.

Mobile phones have helped us
in our every day life.
they have made our
life much
more convenient in a number of
ways. Has your mum or dad stressed
because
they had to pick some one up
while in the middle
of doing something,
How difficult will that be?

Mobile phones have also
changed the way we interact
with family members and friends.
when we are making a
call to a mobile phone we aren't
calling a place, were calling a person.

Would mobile phones be one of
our biggest
Advantages in the fact of not talking
to strangers
while traveling. Over the past
few years people
would engage in a conversation
while waiting
at the nearest bus stop.

Could mobile phones become
a part of our lives today?
When we use our mobile
phone, we use
Them to text, Make calls,
Browsing the web and more.
Mobile phones have
made landline technology
Not necessary.

Conclusion -

Mobile phones have had a major
impact in our every day life.
So I think that everyone should get
a mobile phone
But just remember
to hang up every once in a while and pay attention
To the world around you.
This site is Dance mat typing if you didn't know. Dance mat typing teaches you how to touch type. Because we are doing touch typing we learn how to type with out looking at the keyboard.Every time we are on this website we use something to cover our fingers so that we cant see our fingers when we type. To cover our fingers we use a tea towel that is a good size to cover the hole keyboard.

Then we had to put items in the bag that describe something in the story or mean something about the character. My book bags title is vedra and krimon. The multiple inteligences test that I completed was all about me. The most smartest things I was good at are visual/spatial,intrapersonal and logical smart. When the the first part of the test were
all of the things you think you are good at. Before we went to take a test we looked at all the smart things you could be. Then when you have finished the test, a graph comes up with all of the things you were smart at.
